Q:
How do I convert my former Mothering Magazine subscription to Natural Life Magazine?
A: Mothering magazine ceased publication with its March/April
2011 issue. Mothering's
publisher/editor Peggy O'Mara made that announcement on February 15, 2011. As a courtesy,
and at Peggy's request, we agreed to
offer
Natural Life Magazine to Mothering's former subscribers on a complimentary basis, at our
cost, beginning with Natural Life's May/June 2011 issue and ending with
the expiry date provided to us by Mothering. This offer expired on
February 15, 2012. Please note: We did not buy Mothering Magazine. We
did not receive any money from Mothering Magazine for these subscriptions. We do
not have any financial records from Mothering Magazine.
Q: How do I correct an error with my expiry issue or get on the Natural
Life Magazine mailing list if I've been left off?
A: The mailing list, including expiry dates, was provided
to us by Mothering in mid-February of 2011. Since we did not receive any
payment or financial records for your subscription, we were not able to add you to the list or extend your expiry date
beyond the information provided to us by Mothering. Our decision to make
this offer to former Mothering subscribers was based on the
data that we received from Mothering prior to agreeing to fulfill the subscriptions.
We now recognize that that information was flawed, however, since Natural
Life is a subscriber-supported magazine, increasing
the number of free copies we will print and mail could have resulted in our not being able to fulfill that commitment.
Q: Why did I not receive the full amount of issues that I paid
Mothering for?
A: Our offer to former Mothering subscribers began with Natural
Life Magazine's May/June 2011 issue and extends through to the expiry date that
Mothering provided to us – unless you told us that you don't like it or don't want to receive it,
have not agreed to the terms of our offer as stated on this page, have sent us an
abusive email message confusing us with Mothering Magazine's publisher, have
requested (or stated that you would have preferred) a refund, or didn't respond
to our request for positive feedback that you wished to continue to receive one
of our magazines (printed on the envelope in which your July/Aug or Sept/Oct
2011 issue of Natural Life was mailed).
Q: Why have I not received a copy of Natural
Life Magazine even though I had a Mothering subscription?
A: You may not have been on the mailing list provided to us
by Mothering. Or your address might have been out of date and your copy
returned to us by the post office because it couldn't be forwarded to you. Or you might have received it and not recognized it; Natural Life is mailed
in recycled brown envelopes printed with your personalized information and
these free copies are sent by Standard Mail to U.S. addresses; if
you have a "no junk mail" sign, magazines sent by Standard Mail will not be delivered to your home.
If you were
receiving Natural Life and the issues stopped, perhaps your subscription
expired, or perhaps you neglected to respond to the notice printed on the envelope
in which your magazine was mailed in the summer/fall of 2011.
Q: How do I get missing back issues of Mothering
or extend my subscription to compensate
for missing back issues of Mothering?
A: We do not have back issues of Mothering. And since
we received no money for your subscription, we are not able to compensate
you for missing issues of Mothering.
Q:
How do I receive a refund for my Mothering
subscription?
A: Since we did not receive your
subscription payment, we cannot send you a refund.
